First year

At Franklin Pierce University, First Year students are assigned to Mount Washington or New Hampshire residence halls. The hallways are gender specific, with common bathrooms available to the residents on each hallway. There is a gender inclusive floor within the first-year area, meaning students of any gender can choose to live together on this floor. The beds are not bunked, but if all roommates want the beds bunked, Residential Life has pins available for bunking them. Students accepted into the honors program are housed in Mount Washington and New Hampshire Halls. Please note that the All Access Meal Plan is required for all students living within the first-year area.

Both Mount Washington and New Hampshire Halls are overseen by a Residence Director. The Residence Director is a professional staff members who lives on-campus and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the residence halls, as well as being a support and advocate for students.
